On Sunday, February 5, 2023, the 2023 Grammy Awards were held. Nigerian international music star Tems won her first Grammy for her part on Future’s hit song “Wait For U.” At the Grammys in 2023, the single won the award for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Burna Boy was hoping to add another Grammy to his collection, but he lost both of his nominations. He didn’t win the awards for Best Global Song Performance for “Last Last” or Best Global Album for “Love, Damini.”
