I followed the disappearance/murder of Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie extremely attentively. Something about this situation captivated me, and I was unable to look away. I had hoped Gabby would be discovered alive, followed by Brian, so that answers might be discovered. Sadly, both were discovered dead. There is continuing legal action in civil court, where her parents have filed a lawsuit against her and her husband's estate. Yesterday, I watched the motion to dismiss hearings and hoped that the case would go to trial so that we might discover what transpired. This was not meant to occur until 2023, assuming the court permits the action to proceed. Imagine my surprise when I looked down at my phone and discovered that Brian Laundrie's notebook confession had been published.

I’m not going to lie I had a notion in my brain of what transpired. We all saw his/her family's behavior in the days after the murder, as captured by the police dashcam film of their domestic argument. But this was not at all what I had anticipated. Is this the whole story? I mean that we will never know the truth. The only two individuals who know what occurred along Spread Creek in Grand Teton National Park last August are no longer with us. Therefore, Brian Laundrie's notebook confession is the finest "why" we can receive for this terrible tale.

Regarding the case, it is intriguing because this essentially reveals that the Laundrie parents knew Brian had murdered their daughter and knew where her corpse was located. It increases your compassion for her family. After reading everything, I am still left with more questions than answers. However, I do sympathize with everyone involved in this unfortunate scenario.
