Adesanya lands a powerful left hand on Cannonier in the fourth round, which causes the latter's head to snap backward. Adesanya is making it extremely difficult for Cannonier to land effective blows on his opponent. The second one has not been brought down by anybody as of yet. Both combatants grasp hold of each other, but Adesanya manages to escape the situation. Cannonier takes a more aggressive stance and succeeds in clinching the match. After then, head and body bullets were exchanged between the two combatants. Adesanya avoids a head kick that is coming from Cannonier by moving out of the path. The end has come to the fourth round. In the third round, Cannonier hits Adesanya with a left-right combination that the latter is unable to stop. He makes an attempt to throw Adesanya to the ground, but he is unsuccessful, and the two combatants begin exchanging body blows with one other. He makes another attempt, but is unable to bring Adesanya to the ground this time. When Adesanya goes closer to Cannonier, the latter grabs him and shoves him into the other corner. Cannonier makes an attempt to drive his knees into Adesanya's, but Adesanya avoids the attack and finishes the round by giving Cannonier a head kick.

Round 2: Cannonier is bringing the fight to Adesanya and sometimes forcing him into the corner. Adesanya is showing no signs of stopping the battle. Since Cannonier need medical attention for his right eye, the match must be halted for the time being. When Adesanya connects with a powerful body shot while on top, the round is over.

Round 1: Quite uneventful. Both of the guys are taking their time to get to know one another better while punching one other in the body.
